The factory warranty covers defects in factory
supplied materials and workmanship. In other words,
if you overstress the engine beyond what the
factory designed if for by adding aftermarket
equipment and the failure is not due to a DEFECT in
the factory supplied  equipment, you are Sh*t out
of luck. No kind of legislation anywhere makes the
factory liable for modifications you make. If you
blow your glow plug relay and have a Banks kit
installed, of course there is no connection. But if
you throw a connecting rod or fry the tranny
because you exceeded the design basis-and there is
no defect in the part-you are up the creek.
