![]() [Previous Message] [Next Message] Oil consumption! spoke to soonMsg # 5105 of 8004 on Powerstroke Diesel Conference (1)To: All, From: Phil Time: Tuesday 01-27-98, 03:00 pm After posting power difference the new O-rings made to my truck it saw the top of a rollback. When I attempted to start the truck later it would not start. I picked it back up today. They told me it was due to air getting into the injectors on the oil side when they replaced the O-rings. I should have asked how they cleared the air out, but was in a hurry. The truck has not failed to start today, but I have noticed a longer period of cranking before the motor fires up. I called the service dept to see why it was taking longer to fire. They said a couple of the injectors might still have some air in them. It should clear out in a day or so, and if it doesn't clear up, bring it back and they'll check it out again. I have to take it back next Friday. So they can attempt to buff out a bunch of scratches they placed on the fenders and grill while working on the truck. Phil [Previous Message] [Next Message] |
