[Thread Backward] Re: Banks Power ProductsMsg # 5144 of 8004 on Powerstroke Diesel Conference (1)To: Dave, From: Guest Time: Wednesday 01-28-98, 11:39 am The party issuing the warranty has only to prove that the part in question was not defective. Failure of a part is not proof that it is defective. The Moss-Magnuson act was implemented to keep tha manufacturers from requiring that the customer use their brand of filters etc. It also required that if the warranty was dependent on using only specific brands, the Company is required to supply them at no cost. Don't think for one minute that Ford or any other manufacturer is going to roll over because of what an after-market parts manufaturer says. I am anxious to see the warranty. They usually read something like" warranty will not be voided soley by the use of xxxx products. Thwe secret here is soley.
