After running mine through timing last -night, I certainly wouldn't describe the 0-60 -acceleration as slow. It burned the tires off of -the line and broke them loose again very noticably -at about 40 mph. I'm not sure if that was third or -the torque converter locking but the speedo jumped -to about 50 before falling back to about 45 and -still accelerating strong. If the '96s don't do -this, then maybe Banks ran an early '97? I think -we arrived at the conclusion that the 225 hp rated -engine came along sometime during the '97 model -year. If this is the case, that is a very -substantial decrease in time for such a modest HP -increase.
