[Thread Backward] Re: Firestone tiresMsg # 5228 of 8004 on Powerstroke Diesel Conference (1)To: Rick C., From: Todd Time: Thursday 01-29-98, 08:54 am I had asked about this a couple of days ago. I have now received my notification that my truck is covered under this recall. I don't yet know if the tires are going to be inspected and maybe replaced or just straight-out replaced. The letter makes me think the latter will be the case. Not bad, 5 new tires for free, but unfortunately they'll still be the Firestones. Since Firestone is doing the work, maybe I can trade up? We'll see. For everyone's information, the recall is #97S90 and I *think* it applies to most 97 F-250/350/450 built in Mexico with the Firestone tires. It was either AAA rag or Consumer Reports. - - Rick C. - - On Sunday 01-25-98, 10:53 pm, Headhunter said: --Had around 2500 miles on tires, right rear outside --tires......
