Have you looked into Red Line products. I replaced
all the fluids in our 92 Bronco with their's and
went playing(4 wheeling) in Tx,Az,Ca,Nv and Wy.(6k+
miles started & finished in ND) for the entire
month of Aug 95. We spent 5 days in death vally
when the ground temp was +110F and never had a
problem the entire trip. Changed just the oil
filter in Ca and added 1 Qt did not use any other
oil. In July of 96 we spent a week playing in Moab
and area again with +110F temps, I was greatly
impressed with their products. After we get 3-4K
on our F250 everything but the oil (staying with
Rotella for now)is going to get switched over to
Red line.
Check out their page at
http://www.redlineoil.com/index.htm
Send them an e-mail and they will snail mail you a
detailed product list and specs. Plus they have it
avaible on line.
if you have any more questions just e-mail

-I'm going to be sending out F350 to Australia next
-year. We'll be taking trips during the hotter parts
-of the year, with temps >100F. The Canning Stock
-Route involves crossing 900 sand dunes over 1100
-miles. I'm a little worried about heat buildup in
-general, especially in the low range planetary
-gearset of the transfer case. I wish the transfer
-case was an old gear drive cast iron piece. Anyway,
-we're supposed to use Mercon type ATF in both trans
-and TC. Replacement candidates include 75W-90
-Arctic gear lube (viscosity of ATF at 100C.=7.1
-cSt, AGL=14.6), 0W-30 synthetic arctic motor oil
-"Sub-Zero Fluid" 10.5cSt. Any ideas about these
-products or others? I'm planning on using 85W-140
-in the diffs (31cSt) and maybe straight 40 in the
-engine (70K miles). Right now I have to carry 4
-different fluids as spares: hydraulic oil for the
-winches (of course for hydraulics in a pinch
-anything will do), ATF, gear oil and motor oil.
