Upgraded Cupholders

Here are the pictures of the upgraded cupholders in the new 2000 trucks. Click on them for the large version of it. I could not get a part number, but as soon as I can get one, I will post it. Thanks to Sales Manager Gary Moore, Jason of the detailing crew, and all the rest of the people at Gullo Ford-Mercury in Conroe, Texas. They let me crawl around a freshly offloaded F-350 Crew Cab Lariat that someone had ordered. To the new owner, Mr Driden (I think...): You got a great truck with some great cupholders!

As you can see, the flip up wings are gone (YES!) and replaced by pincers that grip the sides of the cup. No more of those foam flaps that do very little after a little wear and tear.

Since the ash tray is now integrated into the new cupholder, the space it was before is now turned into a rack of some sort. I have no clue what to use it for, but someone must have.
