ISSUE:

The 1995 E4OD Transmission Tester Update Cable and Overlay (007-00107) was shipped to all dealerships in August.  Each dealer currently has two (2) E4OD Cables and Overlays.  One (1) Cable and Overlay is used for 1989-94 model years.  The new Cable and Overlay is used on 1995 vehicles ONLY.  You must use the appropriate model year Cable and Overlay combination for correct diagnosis.

ACTION:

When testing E4OD transmissions, be sure to use the correct Cable and Overlay for the model year being tested.  Using the incorrect Cable and Overlay may damage the tester cable or cause misdiagnosis.  Dealerships also received a new Cable and Overlay (007-00106) for 4R44E/4R55E transmissions, along with a new tester manual, a new TR/MLP Overlay and a TR/MLP usage lid sticker.  Be sure to use the correct combination Cable and Overlay when attempting to diagnose a transmission concern.
