ISSUE:

Some 7.3L DIT engines exhibit rough idle and engine miss due to injector bore scuffing at green engine break-in.  This may be due to insufficient lubricity additive in some fuels.

ACTION:

For injectors serviced in the field, one bottle (12 ounce) of Injector Lubricity Additive (F8AZ-9C077-AA) must be added to the engine fuel tank at the time of injector replacement.  The additive has been shown to be effective in preventing premature wear during the injector break-in period.
