Yep......And also get yerself a can of old fashioned aerosol shaving cream.
Once you have your rags inplace, spray in a nice layer of shaving cream....The foam will catch all the metal shavings and trap them like glue....it is really easy if you first tie some strong thread or thin string to each rag and use it to pull the rags up thru the shaving cream as you remove them.
Use the shaving cream trick if you ever need to rethread a spark plug hole on gas engine. Just make sure the piston is all the way down, then fill the cylinder with shaving cream...when you are thru tapping the hole, just rotate the engine by hand and the piston will push all the foam and metal fragments up and out the spark plug hole...Any residual cream left in the cylinder is rendered harmless with a squirt of WD40 or similar.
