Re: Fuel Filter/seperator drain o-ring replacement...my first write up

FYI while on vacation in colorado my fuel seperator valve o- rings started bypassing diesel straight to the ground. I was about thirty miles from Golden co at the time with no auto store around. I removed the metal line from the back of the short rubber hose on the valve and plugged the rubber hose with a 5/16 bolt and 2 small hose clamps. I then drove to the ford house in golden with no leakage from the valve. I put the new valve on in the parking lot, not knowing I could have bought just the o-rings, could have save about 28 bucks lol. They charged me 65.00 for the valve. You know on vacation you do what u have to do.

thanks for all the info on these forums, there are alot of knowledgeable people on here.
