Re: Timbrens Ordered Today -- Have a question

When I installed my Timbrens I placed a floor jack under the receiver hitch and raised the truck a couple of inches (NOTE: tires not off of ground). This gave me a little more wiggle room when installing them. You don't have to do this but I found it made my install a little easier even though its super easy to begin with.

As far as the ride unloaded....you wont notice them at all until you are loaded...then you will be thinking why did I wait so long. The only time I feel mine (stiffness) is when going over railroad tracks at a high rate of speed (which I shouldn't be doing to begin with) or hitting speed bumps. Other than that you don't even know they are back there when you are unloaded. There should be a couple of inches between the timbren's and the 'stop' they rest on when you are unloaded. If they are sitting on the 'stop' when you are unloaded they are the wrong ones for your truck or you have installed them wrong.
