Having room depends on how much the back of your truck weights already. The rear springs on my wrecker were in sad shape, so the truck had to come up to fit the Timbrens in. In fact, it rides on the Timbrens all the time. Of course the truck also weighs 9,300# empty.
For a regular pickup truck, you can probably slide them right in with no problem. You are supposed to have some air space between the Timbrens and the axle when the truck is unloaded so you don't get a harsh ride empty.
