for the Tech's & exhaust brake

To the Tech's. Have you ever seen a 6.0 psd with an exhaust brake? In particular the BD brake. If so did the motor have problems because of the brake? I have heard not to use one but have never heard from anyone that is actually using one. So I am looking for facts not fiction. I know this subject has been discussed but I still need some more info. The BD brake talks to the turbo and sensors so I would think it should be safe to use. I just wonder if the excess exhaust would coke up the motor?
Thanks Mike
