Sounds electrical. Or does it feel like your running out of fuel? I'd say first thing is check all the plugs on the V/C's to make sure they are in tight and not melted. Glowplugs wouldnt matter b/c you were going down the road when this had all started to happen. Could it be fuel gelling?
