Re: ULSD Fuel

I have not noticed any remarkable difference in fuel mileage since the UL fuel hit the market.
I did replace my CPS last week with one from International rather than Ford.
I was reading in these blogs about how the International model is better. The engine had been hiccupping for a couple of months so I thought I would replace the CPS. I did and have not noticed any difference in fuel mileage at all.
However, on cooler morning starts, the engine used to lope and sometimes quit if I did not wait for the glowplugs to heat up. The ole 7.3 has not had this problem since replacing the CPS. Does it run quieter as some blogs indicate??? I don't think so, it just starts easier.
I inspected the old Ford CPS and compared it to the new blue International one, the International model had far superior magnetism. It would almost pick up a 3/4" combination wrench, the Ford model was much much weaker. So, its my thought that the computer is receiving a much stronger, cleaner signal than before.
I have not yet been able to locate any Howes fuel treatment so am continuing the Marvel Mystery Oil at the 4 oz to 10 gallon ratio.
