Re: Comment Dealer made today
[ QUOTE ]
My dealer called today and had me come by to sign a paper along the same line.
What really caught my attention was this:
"The installation/use of any non-Ford product will not necessarily void the Ford New Vehicle Limited Warranty. If, however, the non-Ford product (e.g. performance chips, modified exhaust, etc.) fails or causes a Ford part to fail, the cost of the repair and any related damages are not covered by the Ford New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The vehicle owner would need to look to the manufacturer or installer of the non-Ford products for repairs."
So I guess Ford has realized that people are going to mod these trucks.
Otherwise, all the paper covers is that you will use the correct fuel, correct oil, empty the water separator, use the block heater at -10 or below, limit the speed and load for the first 500-1000 miles, and change your oil and fuel filters when you are supposed to.
Oh, and Biodiesel may be used so long as it does not exceed 5% (B5).

Something like this document? That's a Ford-provided form...
