Re: V10 Pinging on 87

I get occassional engine ping with my V10, but only in those rare moments when I'm on a hill at low-rpm, and not giving it enough gas so it downshifts. I've got 90K on my V10 with 95% of those miles on 87, and the rest with 89 which I use when I tow a heavy load. The engine flutter on the '99s and '00s sounds extremely similar to engine ping. I put the '01 Y-pipe on mine to get rid of da flutta.
