Re: Opinions on K&N intake kit for 5.4L

Last I knew the K&N didn't come with any type of heat shield from the motor. The airaid does, but the airiad kit re-uses the stock tubing, so the K&N has a better and cleaner look. I would just be more comfortable with some kind of enclosure around the filter to block heat from the motor.
