I'd say the tech is full of it. They just don't put the AIC "plug" in the X, so you'd have to wire it up. I'm not sure if it's exactly the same as the 7.3 or not, so you'd probably be the first. Wiring one into the 7.3 was very easy though. (there's a good writeup on this forum)

PS - I think you only need the AIC if you intend to idle for extended periods . .say greater than 4-5 minutes (when warm). JMHO
