I have heard this exact same thing. What kills the trans most often than not is poor (transmission) tuning. There are alot of guys out there running Xtreme Race Tunes with Nitrous on stock transmissions with no problems. It may be tempting fate but I think Edge and Diablo programmers both have proven this concept. Their tuners generally make less power than most Xtreme SCT Tunes out there but seem to have alot of failed tranny's to their credit.
