Re: fitting 33's on 96 2wd
My truck is very close to yours - 95 F250 two wheel drive extended cab. I have Cooper Discoverer ATR 285/75R 16 LT which is 33" tall (actually 32.93 by their spec sheet) and 11 1/2" wide. I am running them on stock aluminum rims and the only problem I have is in full lock turns moving forward they touch the radius arms that run from the axle to the frame. It has not damaged anything (tires or truck) in 30-40K miles. They do not rub the front bumper but it is VERY close - you may have to shim the bumper out a bit (put washers between the bumper and the frame on the mounting bolts) to clear, depends on your truck.
