Re: Interior Trim

My truck is a 96 it has black trim around the dash and door panels. I pulled the dash pieces off and shaved the XLT letter on the pass. side and then painted the pieces the same color red as the exterior of the truck!!! I plan on doing the door trim the same way but it involves removing the door panels because on the 94 and up models the trim on the doors cannot be removed like years prior ( my 93 f-150 race truck has the removable trim) there are plastic tabs on the backside of the door panel trim that are mushroomed to prevent the trim from coming off what you do is take a dremel tool with a grinding disc and remove the mushroom ends and the trim will come off, then paint whatever color you desire, then reinstall and use a plastic welder with an ABS rod and recreate that mushroom end!!!!!

Sorry for the long post!!!!

Later,

DEVLYN

I have a set of silver XLT dash trim if interested pm me!!!!!
