E04D not going into first right

Okay I titled this just like the old post (3/2/06). I have the same symptoms. I've checked all connections. Checked the TPS and got a low reading of 1.22v and high of 3.85v. After reading the old post I'm still not sure just which way to go. Should the TPS be exactly 1.00v and 4.3v on the high side? Didn't see any bent pins, broken wires, water or anything.
