[/ QUOTE ] In my opinion the 2000 is the best year to mod as it has forged connecting rods in the engine. All of the years with 7.3 got more fancy as time went by and are good if you keep the engine mods within reason.

My friends 4x4 excursion had a very rough ride compared to my 4x4 sub (IFS vs solid axle), and my 350 is unbearable for long distance rides without a full load, what can be done about the excursions 4x4 rough ride?

[/ QUOTE ] The Excursioins with the stock suspension in my opinion ride like junk. Do the V B spring swap with some good adjustable shocks and they ride a lot better. Plenty of posts to search on this concern in this forum so I won't get into it now.
