I bought the V10 for hauling our slide-in truck camper. It's a light one (1500 lbs. dry), but I'm consistently getting 12 MPG at 65-70 MPH highway with the camper on the truck. That's in the mountains of New Mexico. Under ideal conditions (semi-flat highway, no wind) I get 13 MPG hauling the camper. I don't drive it in the city.
We live at 7000 feet and I run regular fuel with no pinging and plenty of power. I'm real happy with the truck, and am glad to have that $5,000 savings over the diesel in the bank.
