Re: Help me distinquish sales fact from fiction
Where abouts in AB are you. I dealt with the dealer on 75th in Edmonton on our 02. I cant remember their name but they have a huge commercial dept. I refuse to pay anything else than $500 over invoice, non negotiable. If they will not show you the invoice when the truck comes in then go somewhere else. There are tons of dealers so you hold the power.
Go to the ford.ca websight and build yourself a 350 and 450 and come up with the MSRP. What the salesman is saying is partially true I found that there was only a couple of grand difference between similar 350 and 450, just alot of things come standard on the 450 so they start at higher cost. And yes it is possible to have a 70K MSRP on a 450, in Canada that is. However we just paid 44+tax for our 350. You just have to sit down and decide what you actually need in options and what is a nicety. I found the biggest problem we have had buying trucks is that they always try and upsell you to the fully loaded one sitting on the lot. Thats fine if you want all that stuff and use it to tow a big RV. However all that stuff is just useless expense if you use it as a dirty work truck.
To me rubber floor and vinyl seats are the only way for me. To each his own.
