I personally think it's dumb-if you can't manage to operate a starter you probably should not be driving in the first place. Seems like a way to drive the price of a new vehicle up even more.

Actually it's just technology, kinda like Fuel injection, piezo injectors, halogen lights. I have it on my 97 bimmer, so it isnt new by any stretch.
