V-10 Tranny troubles
Towed my boat 200mi. on Thursday and noticed a burning smell but could never locate the source. Made the same tow today and 3 miles from home I looked in the mirror to see smoke trailing from the truck. I pulled over and noticed tranny fluid on the exhaust and when I got home I located the source. The fluid is coming from the hole in the bottom of the torque converter housing. The only thing ever done to the tranny is a new filter and swapped to Amsoil about three months ago. Help me out guys, whats the problem.....Thanks...
