Re: V-10 Tranny troubles
I just had my 2nd tranny r&r'd for the same thing a couple weeks ago [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]. It got progressively worse to the point where I was leaving a trail just pulling it out of the drive onto the street (cold engine). Do not drive the truck as the fluid is running out the inspection plug and draining into the heat shield. The potential for flash fire is good [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]. More than likely your torque converter has failed. There is a tsb (I don't have the #) for it. My dealer replaced the TC, front tranny pump, a bunch of seals and gaskets. Just towed the camper home yesterday with no problem. Take it to the dealer asap if you're still under warranty. Also, check your PM.
