4x4 acted up on me.

While out 4 wheeling the other day,i was descending a grade that i frequent often,my truck didnt want to gear down as usual.Electronic dial was in 4low,auto trans in low, hubs locked and trying to creep,it wanted to run,not walk. When i engaged the dash dial, seems to me i heard a "whistle",i am thinking maybe a vacumn line is compromised.Truck has 4.30's so it really creeps,as in no brake needed when descending a pretty steep hill.Any one ever had this problem?
