that plug doesnt give a 100% accurate reading of the fluid temp. the best way to do it is get a kit or a shop to install the sending unit in the cooler lines. you'd be suprised what a differnce you see, and how much quicker you see it. i would say if your gauage is reading that temp in the factory plug on the side of the tranny, your actual fluid temps could be even hotter. when i had my tranny done i had them put one in the hot side and one on the cool side coming out of the cooler. im yet to hook up another guage on the hot side though. but yes as stated before, those temps seem way too high, i would hate to see what they get to pulling any weight or sitting in traffic. aftermarket tranny coolers are fairly cheap and pretty easy to install, i would definitely look into one. good luck.
