You should put your truck configuration in your sig, so we can see what we are commenting on.
I know of no where that HIH won't work... (Vegistroke or otherwise)... it's just a matter of whether or not you want to run heater hose and fuel line separately or inside one another.
As far as tanks in the spare tire area, I think a few folks have taken Excursion fuel tanks and have managed to rig them up for use in their SuperDuty trucks... (but if pressed, I couldn't recall who did it or when).
