I added UEO to my diesel tank for the first time two years ago. I accumulate the oil from oil changes in our cars, my E350, my racing motorcycles, and other equipment.
It's not a lot, but it's a nice suppliment. My personal experience is that my engine runs smoother. Might be from the extra lubrication in the fuel system, might be from the extra BTU's, I don't know.
