FamilyRide said what the studs them selves do as compared to the OEM bolts.
To answer your questions:
1. You can go well above the 425-450HP limit that the stock head studs tend to have.
2. If you are going to stay stock, or not push a high power program, you might not want to worry about studs unless you blow them. If you do blow your headgaskets stock or under a low-power program, you might have warped heads.
3. The odds of blowing a head gasket with studs installed is low...unless you have warped heads, in which case you could blow them again.
In all honesty, I wouldn't spend money on these unless you prove to have a need for them. Your engine should NOT need them if you are running stock programming, for the most part.
