Clutch Pedal Sticking Down!

Hi, My brother has my old truck. A 2002 aprox.125,000 4x4 Super Cab with 6sp. tranny. Today, he said the clutch pedal stuck down on him 4 times, and he would have to pull it back up with his toe. Each time it stuck down, the clutch was disengauged. The cluch seemed to work correct in relation to pedal position. Just the pedal sticking in the down position.

Could there be something in the master cylinder hanging, keeping the pedal from coming back up? The mechanicals of the pedal seem to move freely with no binding.

Thanks,
Brian
