SeaFoam is a great product. I use it on a regular basis to remove varnish and sludges.

I like to use it on gasoline engines as it really cleans the carbon off the tops of valves and pistons, plus it's great to make huge clouds of smoke out the tail pipe .

Just put it in the fuel and oil in a diesel however, do not put it down the intake tract or you'll get a run-away.
