knocking or cackle
Hey guys I have a 99 450 powerstroke that started to make a noise in the motor like someone is banging it with a hammer. This knocking starts at a idle and continues with the rpm of the motor it stays at the same level but will not go away. the truck starts and runs fine still has plenty of power. if it was not for the noise you would think nothing was wrong with it. it has been doing this about 2 weeks now, i changed the fuel filter and air filter and oil with rotella 15w-40 any idea's? do you think i should be looking for a new motor? any help would be gratefull thanks
