You should be ok, should be. Then again the this issue did just throw me for a big loop. The only leads I have on the condition of the return loop is, if your showing diesel seepage under the injectors collecting in the valleys where the glow plugs sit. I was sure mine were blown when I failed to pull a vacume on one side when I could do it well on the other.

I have to admit though the McMaster's route might be a good one if you still trust thoes funny little boots are good. Just be sure not to use worm drive hose clamps, only spring clamps and screw type (injector) clamps.
