So... The tank that is almost empty already has the oil added from the last fill up & is quiet & smooth. Now you add more oil & in 5 miles it gets quieter & smoother. By now it must be you have to look at the tach to tell if it is running since it is so quiet & smooth.
I'm thinking it's all in your head & the oil doesn't do anything that the average person can notice.
In 379,000 miles I haven't needed or added any additives to my truck & it runs just fine. Still has the original fuel pump & injectors
