"Vehicles originally sold in a ULSD fuel market that are subsequently exported to a non-ULSD fuel market will need to be retrofitted (at customers expense) in order to be reliably operated on non-ULSD fuel."
What do they do to accomplish this?

There is no way the DPF can deal with high sulfur Diesel fuel. I'm assuming that the DPF will be removed and/or bypassed and some sort of download will be done to tel the engine that there is now no DPF.
This is not new territory, years back when unleaded gas came on line cars had to be "modified" to run in countries that unleaded was not available.
The military for instance buys thousands of of power strokes and Dodges, and Durmax that are operated all over the world, do you think for a second that they don't have a plan B?
I think if you contacted Ford telling them about your assignment to Mexico working on the piping on the new hospital for the next year they might do this for you with a minor charge.
Diesel Jay???????????????
Has mentioned he saw some testing of the amount of back pressure a CLEAN DPF adds and I can't remember but is was a lot but then he also mentioned how much a loaded up DPF adds and you'd wonder how the turbos could work at all?
JAY?
