Well,
After a couple of long nights and several dollars later things are beginning to look up. I was able to get the rig fired up Friday evening, but again got the billowing clouds from the tailpipe. Needless to say, I was sunk as to what to do next. I removed the EGR valve again and decided to replace it instead of cleaning it on Saturday. That seems to have done the trick, I fired the truck again, got a little bit of smoke, as I'm use to seeing normally which eventually cleared up in almost no time.
I'd like to thank everyone who offered their USEFUL advice, it was much appreciated, it helped get me through all this with some good knowledge and learning.
And those of you who found my misfortune COMICAL, here's hoping your dumba$$ gets in a predicament that finds you and your truck up $hits creek without a paddle and folks in this forum thinking it's COMICAL. People like you really need to withhold comments if your not able to provide good solid help instead of criticism. Generally, I've found that forums are useful places to gain helpful and useful knowledge without all the BS some folks like to shovel into them. I can tell that it was, in no way ... COMICAL
Trust me, I'll be looking for your posts as time goes along and when you run into trouble, then I'll guess that turn-about is fair play. So for those of you who didn't really help and thought "what was he thinking" just stand-by, because your days of misfortune are not that far off.
I'll continue to use the 2 cycle oil, because even after all this, I've noticed that the truck fires quicker, idles smoother and even quieter than before ; haven't seen the benefits of the MPG increase yet but I'll be looking for it. And it doesn't appear to have been the root of my troubles.
Thanks again to everyone with useful comments it really helped me out .
Joe
