I believe that the factory EGT probes are installed in/near the dpf and are therefore post turbo. I do not know the exact location of the probes but have found that exhaust temp B1S3(see above post) seems to be the most accurate. If you are planning to tune your truck then you probably want something pre-turbo for safety reasons, but for just shut down temps or basic monitoring the factory probes should be adequate.
