It makes sense that Ford would want to know temperature at DPF for regen purposes...but I was hoping for a consistent set of responses to my question. I just put a hypertech econ tuner on my truck....and the power increase was pretty noticible..but I did it for economy. I am just trying to protect myself when pulling hard up hills, towing my 16.5k th wheel. Last summer, I did ok..in stock tune....but of course I never knew if I was close to being too hard on the truck. I would like to go with the Insight..to avoid drilling, tapping etc...
If I make a couple of test runs with the stock setting...and note the highest EGT readings...couldn't I use that as a benchmark for towing with the tuner applied?
