Jay..... The Insight has an option to add a regular drill and tap EGT probe. The wiring that goes from the insight to the OBDII port has a input on it for a accessory EGT probe that you get from Edge for about another $75. So..... it still is pretty much the best guage system you can buy!
I'll have to lay under the truck and look around for sensors on the exhaust system. I would swear that the temps shown on my insight have to be preturbo..... because they can get into the 1100's if you are pushing the truck (unloaded)...... usually post turbo temps in this same condition are about 900*.
