Finally got to the dealer yesterday. The shop foreman took it on the highway with me and gave it a good run. The noise basically disappeared. He feels my truck is getting too much stop and go driving and need an occasional run on the highway to keep the DPF clean. The truck is running great now except the mileage is about 6 mpg. He feels a good long run on the highway will fix the problem. I still have an appointment for the 25th of March. He said if the mileage doesn't improve to keep the appointment and the the dealer will give it a full checkover. I guess the next thing is a road trip. At least it's not the turbo failing. That really had me worried.
