White Smoke at idle when cold / rough run at idle when warm

Does anyone have experience with this?
Starting the engine (PSD 7.3L, year 1999 (05/98) in the morning a lot of white smoke comes out of the pipe. At higher rpm (more than idle) white smoke stops. Coming back to idle white smoke is again there until the engine gets really warm.
Waiting at stoplights (at idle) engine runs rough even if engine is warm! White smoke with warm engine has disappeared.
Many thanks in advance for any hint about what we could do.

We have 209000 Miles on that engine. Changed the injectors with 180000 Miles. Changed Glowplugs and GPR recently. Fuel Filter changed. Regular service always done.

Glow Plugs changed two days ago!
If it were airleak in fuel lines - wouldn't it always smoke?
We recently had also a vacuum on the tank - we cleaned the tap (with key) - and we had the impression there was less vacuum - need to monitor longer for that.

It smoked always little, but we have the impression that it becomes stronger, especially waiting (idling) at redlights. Two days ago, when GP were changed, the mechanics had to remove one cap of the injectors (only of one) because they had to remove the old glowplug. Could this have any influence?

You can check the IPR o ring ,,,the small one on the end ,,may have a cut in it ,,,a cheap test , you can tell by looking at it ,,,

you can also ,unplug the ICP ,,see if the Idle smoothes out ....

You may need a new IPR altogether ...
