Thank you Don

Okay Don thank you for your help. The issues I am having are many. I have done lots of research here hoping to find the answers. And now I just have several more questons to ask lol.

I have a 1995 ford econoline van with the 7.3 psd in it.

#1 issue is that the speedo pegs as soon as I get going about 5 mph.

#2 issue is that the odometer says ERROR" instead of reading the mileage

#3 issues is that the van acts likes it might die whenever I shift into gear

#4 issue is that it has almost no power at all.

#5 issue is that I pulled several dtc's that are as follows. P1280 ICP circuit out of range, P1298 IDM fault, (no communication), P0476 Exhaust pressure control valve performance, Also no number but Crankshaft position sensor fault,

The engine does not smoke at all and has all new fuel, air, oil and tranny filters installed, I even flushed the fuel tank and filled it with fresh fuel before running it, I just purchased it for work and it sat for 2 years and is an ex delivery vehicle. I replaced all of the belts and hoses on the vehicle, I replaced both the starter and alternator as they failed quickly from sitting for so long, as well as both batteries

I replaced the tranny filter and fluid and it was clean and smelled proper (not burnt at all), I replaced all of the hoses, thermostat, coolant and belts before running it, (dry from sitting, didn't want to risk a faliure), I replaced the front wheel bearings, seals, and all of the brakes, including rotors.

I have no idea of the mileage as the odo is not operational.

I will say that I am interested to see what you guys have to say about these issues. I have several things to check already but would like to get greasy all at once if possible and check everything I need to at once.

I have a full complement of tools and scanners and have been a technician for 12 years but have not done any diesel repairs that dealt with computers as of yet. Thank you all for any and help you may provide, Dave
