Its a shame it had to go the spendy route. Sounds like the hub they tried to give you was for a dana 44. You might try them again, just make sure that the person you are speaking with has some experience behind the parts counter, not some kid just punching keys. (Even though I am only 18, nothing makes me more aggravated than when the person behind the counter isn't willing to believe anything but the screen in front of them...  )

Work Truck:
1992 F-700 Flatbed w/ dump, 7.0L BIG BLOCK GASSER, 5-speed trans (Clark?), 26,000 lb GVWR. Rides like a tank
