I bought a little Ranger awhile back.It gets around 22-25. Got a pretty good deal on it. My buddies fathers truck. Then the Firestone blew out and really tweeked the r rear quater. Thanks to the roving band of Walmart gipsies I got her beat back out. A friend of mine with a tranny shop has been filtering out the used fluid and has been burning that. He started out with a gallon then two, now all trans fluid. He also has a old army generator he uses to save power in the summer that also burns the fluid. he has offered many times but Ima skeered.I have ready acess to red dye, but again, Ima skeered. Im leaving for Utah in a couple weeks on vacation pulling my 5th.People at work think im crazy for still doing this but have you checked out the prices to fly? They ask,"have you figured out how many miles and the cost? Its like, Why? I know it will be costly, but what the heck will it matter 100 years from now? I need to get away. I drive my stroke on the weekends and once a week to work,75 miles. Im thinking about getting a older Mercedes diesel. They're dirt cheap and will about run on about anything. Cracks me up, people who dont understand the diesel thing. You hear "man you check out the price of diesel"?like they have something over you because they drive a Yucon. My truck still gets way better mileage then your heap, plus I can pull something besides the tent trailer that you do.
